John Parricelli began his professional guitar playing career in 1982, and had soon developed a style that is fresh, strong and instantly recognisable as his own, resulting in his working with a diverse range of artists in various areas of the music industry. He was one of the founder members of Loose Tubes in the 80's, touring and recording three albums with them.

Since then he has pursued a varied career working with many well respected and influential musicians; names such as, Annie Whitehead, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, Leo Konitz, Paul Motian, Tim Whitehead, Eddie Parker, WDR Band with Peter Erskine, Vince Mendoza, Mark Lockheart, Julian Argüelles, Iain Bellamy's Acme, Mark Lockheart Quartet, Andy Sheppard, Gerard Presencer, Colin Towns, Martin Speake Quintet, Eddie Parker Group.

John also works in other areas of music, having recorded with M People, Judy Tzuke, Shara Nelson, Mike Oldfield and numerous T.V and feature films for Mike Figgis, George Fenton, Stephen Warbeck, Trevor Jones, Adrian Johnstone, Gabriel Yared, and Dbeniev Priesner.

His debut album as band leader titled Alba was released in May 2000 for Provocateur and continues the original and fresh feel that is now the renowned trademark of John's music.

In 2003, John formed a duo with Andy Sheppard and they recorded P.S. Johns second album for Provocateur which has been described as "mesmerising" by the Observer.
